Everyone's favorite coach, Big Boi Bruce, fucked up in a big way on national television. Against Sidney Crosby and the Penguins, Boudreau incorrectly filled out the team's lineup card before the game. Instead of listing Ryan Donato, a forward, as a healthy scratch, he accidentally listed Greg Pateryn, a defenseman, as a healthy scratch. This meant that the Wild had to take on the high-powered Pittsburgh Penguins offense with only 5 defensemen and it did not end well...
The Pittsburgh Penguins dominated the Wild, winning 7-3 in Sidney Crosby's return. My favorite part about all of this is that it happened on national television. Whenever any Minnesota team plays on national TV, something weird always happens. Look at the Vikings, who always seem to choke during prime time or the Twins who haven't won a playoff game since 2004. What is going on with Minnesota sports?!?
Just like Jason Zucker said at the beginning of the year "Bruce has got to be better", or else the Wild will be stuck in mediocrity for the foreseeable future. It's time for "Big Boi Bruce" to either lead this team to the playoffs or to initiate the tank. Oh, and if we do make the playoffs just to be booted out in the first round, consider the season a failure.
God Bless You, Bruce
