I LOVE The Pro Bowl

I don't make excuses, but I'm really close to throwing up right now, so credit to me for my dedication to this bit.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, so you don't have to remind me... but theres a few reasons why I'm a big fan of the pro bowl:

1. It's a great game to gamble on

Why? Because it's completely unpredictable. Some guys try way too hard, other guys jog on the field because they are deathly afraid of tearing their ACL, and there are guys that are right in the middle.

Without knowing which of these three categories every player might fall in, it's next to impossible to come up with a reasonable case as to why you would bet one way or the other. which means this game is pretty much just up to chance. The analytics nerds can't try to tell us what's right and what's wrong because anything can fucking happen. And I love that.

2. We get to see top talent play on the same team

If seeing players from different teams and different backgrounds work together doesn't put lead in your pencil, then you're not a real football fan. Seeing Lamar Jackson hand the ball off to Derek Henry or Kirk throw a long ball to Julio Jones is something you only get to see once a year, DURING THIS GAME.

Random note, how the hell did Xavier Rhodes get picked??

3. It fills the gap between championship weekend and the Super Bowl

I don't know about you, but Sunday's without football are fast approaching and I'm panicking about it. And don't try and tell me you'd be okay with no game on at all today, because its way better then having nothing.

For some of you readers in warmer areas, theres plenty for you to do when football ends. But guess what people in the midwest do in February? Absolutely nothing except for drinking and watching paint dry until March Madness rolls around, truly the WORST time of year up here. So the Pro Bowl is giving me every Sunday of football I have left before we enter the dark window.

4. Booger McFarland is commentating

Plain and simply put, Booger is the hidden gem of Football announcers. His takes are so painfully obvious that it creates entertainment between plays that keeps us all watching. I can't even begin to express how excited I am to watch the memes flood in as this man call the game today.

So there you have it, my favorite game to bet on is almost here, so save that afternoon nap for later because It's Pro Bowl Sunday bitches.
