It's About Damn Time ESPN
ESPN College Gameday will be in Minneapolis for next Saturday's Minnesota-Wisconsin match up, and I could not be happier.
It is kind of a redeeming point for ESPN. I was royally pissed at the network for ditching the Penn State game to go somewhere they have been a million times before, and I am still a little salty about that quite frankly. And they missed a hell of a game. It came down to the end. But they made the right decision this time.
Obviously, my relentless rants against ESPN resonated with the big wigs at the network and they realized their flaws. Thanks guys for coming to your senses! LOL
I think it was a no brainer this time for ESPN to make the trip to Minneapolis to host the popular college football morning show being this game is for the West Division and Paul Bunyan's Axe. And not to mention, this is one of, if not the longest college football rivalry and both teams will possibly be in the top 10.
Of course, the Iron Bowl will be played next weekend as it is every year during this time when Alabama and Auburn go at it. I was certain that Gameday was going to head there because you know how much they drool over Alabama and the SEC. But after the Gophers and Badgers both won on Saturday, and it was apparent this game was going to be for the West, it made much more sense for Gameday to come here.
But then again, it made more sense for Gameday to come to the Minnesota-Penn State game than LSU and Bama, at least for me, so I did not have my hopes up. I still thought ESPN was a self-centered, entitled BS network full of SEC homers. But like I said before, ESPN may have redeemed themselves.
Ok, I still think ESPN is BS, and I think they knew they had to go to this game or everybody would see right through their s$%@. But I have to give them props for bringing this wonderful experience to the University of Minnesota.
It will be great for the fans and the entire state of Minnesota!
I will be there cheering my ass off!
Row the Boat, Ski-U-Mah, Go Gophers!
