After a long week filled with Kirk Cousins criticism and Stefon Diggs trade speculation, the Vikings came through big. The Vikings dominated the Giants and came away with a 28-10 win.
Kirk Cousins threw two touchdowns to Adam Thielen, Cook had 132 rushing yards and 86 receiving yards, and the Minnesota Vikings defense made life miserable for New York Giant's QB Daniel Jones.
Time for Minnesota Vikings fans to be happy right?
Instead of focusing on a big win, the national media has made it all about a certain Minnesota Vikings wide receiver, and his mysterious wink:
Of course. Kirk actually plays well, Adam Thielen went off, Diggs created some yards after catch, and our defense looked impenetrable. Then Diggs went and did this, and now we have to listen to the national media make something out of nothing.
3 Reason's Why Diggs Won't be Traded
According to Spotrac, a website that has contract breakdowns and more, trading Diggs would result in $14.8 million in dead salary-cap space through 2020 for an already cap strapped Minnesota Vikings.
Diggs doesn't have much leverage considering he recently signed a five-year, $72 million extension in July 2018, keeping him under contract through the 2023 season.
Speaking of leverage:
The Universe Hates Minnesota, and thats why the Vikings cant have nice things. Don't believe me? Check out the proof below:
