Wild Talk: The NHL is Back + Projected Lines

The NHL returns tomorrow and all I can say is, “It’s about damn time”.

The Minnesota Wild will start their regular season schedule by traveling to Nashville to take on the Predators on Thursday, October 3rd. If you can't wait until then to get your hockey fix, no worries, there are some great games happening tomorrow night:

Final cuts happened Monday, and the Minnesota Wild roster is official. Here is the projected depth chart along with recent roster cuts to finalize the roster:

Projected Forwards:

Projected Defensemen:

Suter Dumba

Brodin Spurgeon

Soucy Hunt

Projected Goalies:

Projected Healthy Scratches:

Victor Rask

Nick Seeler

Injured: Greg Pateryn (sports hernia surgery, out for six weeks)

Key Roster Cuts:

  • Drew Stafford released from tryout, now a UFA.

  • Prospects Gerry Mayhew and Nico Strum made it late into camp, will be interesting to see if they get a mid-season call up.

  • Defensemen Louie Belpedio had a solid preseason, with the bottom pair of defensemen far from solidified, may be a mid season call up.

  • JT Brown officially cleared waivers and was assigned to Iowa today.

Starting tomorrow, we will be releasing a monthly podcast covering the Minnesota Wild and NHL news called: The WildTakes Podcast
